28 Feb | Government Accepts Gym Equipment From Athletics Canada

BASSETERRE St. Kitts, January 14th 2012 (SKNIS) - The Silver Jubilee Athletic Stadium has been outfitted with gym equipment and a new ice tub thanks to a donation from Athletics Canada – the sport governing body for track and field in Canada.


A handing over ceremony was held at the stadium on Saturday (January 14) where the Minister of Sports Honourable Glenn Phillip was joined by Carla Nicholls and Carolyn Taylor of Athletics Canada to cut the ribbon to open the new facilities.

28 Feb | Intense Training Called for by SKNAAA

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts-AS the first major track and field competitions of the year are slated to begin in March, the St. Kitts-Nevis Amateur Athletics Association (SKNAAA) has called upon the Federation’s athletes to fully dedicate themselves to their training in the coming weeks.

The 2010 track and field season suffered a setback in the month of January due to the holding of federal elections forcing the SKNAAA to cancel all of its development meets that had been scheduled during the latter part of the month.

28 Feb | 2010 Track And Field Season Kicks Off This Weekend

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts-ALL athletes and member clubs of the St. Kitts-Nevis Amateur Athletics Association (SKNAAA) are being asked to attend the first development meet for the 2010 season tomorrow (Jan. 9) at the Silver Jubilee Anniversary Stadium.

Though the meet was originally scheduled to be held at the Saddlers Playing Field, SKNAAA Public Relations Officer Evris Huggins informed that it had to be moved due to the Saddlers field not being ready yet.
